Analysing Results
Following on from our Questionnaire Design course we use the Snap XMP analysis tools to interrogate, examine and explore survey data and then use a range of analysis styles to present results clearly.
Objective
Attending this course will enable you to:
- Create and tailor top level analyses
- Filter open and closed questions
- Create and customise a wide range of Snap XMP tables and charts, lists and WordClouds
- Use group variables and derived variables to simplify results
Content
Top level analysis
Starting with a results summary we’ll introduce filters to show how different groups answered specific questions, and consider some of the tailoring options available.
Tables, charts, WordClouds and lists
We’ll use a variety of analysis types to present survey data including the categorising and analysis of freetext replies. We will look at replies to rating scale questions and use group variables to show a summary of all responses in a grid, and simplify responses by showing percent positive responses only.
Refine and simplify your data
We’ll work through some examples of derived variables, for example to combine answer categories such as positive or negative points on a scale, or analyse results by specific dates or periods.
Working with means and scores
We’ll define a scoring system for rating scale questions and use it to show a quick summary of results.
Delivery
Online
Our scheduled courses are run online via Teams. You can see our desktop and we can share mouse and keyboard control to allow delegates to interact with the software at suitable times during the session.
Face to face
If there are four or more attendees, the cost of having us come to your office for a training day may be similar to that of an online session. With an enhanced level of software interaction, it’s an opportunity to get the team together, providing the chance to easily bounce ideas off each other in a way that only face to face training can facilitate.
Company training

Prices and dates
4.5 hours – online classroom training.
10am classes
First session: 10am to 12.15pm.
Second session: 1pm to 3.15pm
2pm classes
First session: 2pm to 4.15pm.
Second session: 5pm to 7.15
45 minute break will be taken in-between each session, as well as a short break during each session.
Times are based on local time in the UK.
