This stops responses being submitted once the target number has been reached. An overall target can be set when offering an incentive for each response submitted making sure costs are kept within budget. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This quota is not linked to any question or variable but can be combined with additional quotas and screen outs that set out further criteria for each response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quota controls<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can set the overall target quota in the <strong>Quota Control<\/strong> dialog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>   Select <strong>View | Quotas and Screen Outs<\/strong>. This opens the\u00a0<strong>Quota and Screen Outs<\/strong>\u00a0window. (Prior to build 12.10 this was on the Tailor menu.)<\/li><li>   Click\u00a0<strong>Tailoring<\/strong> <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"27\" height=\"27\" class=\"wp-image-6036\" style=\"width: 27px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/tailoringicon-png.png\" alt=\"TailoringIcon.PNG\">. This opens the <strong>Quota Control<\/strong> dialog. <\/li><li>   In <strong>Target<\/strong>, enter the target number of responses required. When the overall target is changed the target counts and percentages in the quotas are automatically updated to reflect the change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An example of how the quota is changed is shown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An existing quota has target allocations of 25 responses or 25% of responses for each category.<\/li><li>The overall target is changed in the Quota Controls from 100 to 302.<\/li><li>When the quota is opened again the Target and % have been automatically updated to the best fit for the new overall target.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"934\" height=\"352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ChangeOTarget.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6729\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ChangeOTarget.png 934w, https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ChangeOTarget-300x113.png 300w, https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ChangeOTarget-768x289.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 934px) 100vw, 934px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>   The overall target can also be set when creating or editing a quota or screen out. Regardless of where the overall target is changed, the new target is used for all the quotas and screen outs in the survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Changing the quota targets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Usually when you create or edit a target, you know the targets for each category rather than the overall target. When each category target is changed in the Quota dialog the overall target is updated in line<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-a368bacf-0fd4-454c-ba76-43cb8d62d658\"><li>Select <strong>Tailor | Quotas and Screen Outs<\/strong>. This opens the&nbsp;<strong>Quota and Screen Outs<\/strong>&nbsp;window.<\/li><li>Double-click a quota. A message is displayed warning that the change to the overall total affects all quotas and screen outs.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you change the overall total, the field changes color as a warning that the category targets and % need recalculating.
