Alternatively, use any survey which includes one or more question grids. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Build a&nbsp;horizontal bar chart of rating scale responses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  Start by building a horizontal bar chart to summarise the responses to a typical question grid.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>   On the Snap XMP Desktop toolbar, click\u00a0<strong>Analysis Chart<\/strong>    <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-6630\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/analysischarticon-png.png\" alt=\"AnalysisChartIcon.png\">    to create a new chart. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  In&nbsp;the <strong>Style<\/strong> list, select <strong>Horizontal Stacked Bar Percent Transposed<\/strong>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  In the <strong>Analysis<\/strong> field, enter the grid questions.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Select the options <strong>Analysis Percents&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>Transpose<\/strong>.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"504\" height=\"211\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/analysisdefn1a-png.png\" alt=\"AnalysisDefn1a.png\" class=\"wp-image-6631\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/analysisdefn1a-png.png 504w, https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/analysisdefn1a-png-300x126.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 504px) 100vw, 504px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\">\n<li>\n  Click <strong>Apply<\/strong>. Then, build a Horizontal bar chart including the group variables only.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create an overall satisfaction index<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  Create a new group variable including questions contained in multiple question grids, for example type \u2018Q8a to Q8d, Q9a to Q9d, Q10a to Q10d\u2019 into the source&nbsp;field (if the&nbsp;grid questions are sequential, you could also type Q8a to Q10d).&nbsp;This will produce an&nbsp;overall score for all grid questions\u2013 perfect for a top level summary in your report.\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Group variables are used to create a summary analysis of questions which share a common set of answer choices, making it easier to evaluate overall responses to questions in a grid, and make comparisons between separate question grids in your survey.
