For example, if a number of surveys require the same set of analysis definitions, these could be created in one survey, exported in a&nbsp;<strong>SnIF<\/strong>&nbsp;format file and then imported into another survey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  In the following example the data is exported via the clipboard. For larger exports, it is recommended that you export to a file.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>   Click <strong>Analyses<\/strong>\u00a0   <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-6011\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/analysesicon-png-2.png\" alt=\"AnalysesIcon.png\">   \u00a0on the Snap XMP Desktop toolbar. This opens the\u00a0<strong>Analyses\u00a0<\/strong>window. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Select the menu option&nbsp;<strong>File | Export<\/strong>&nbsp;to display the&nbsp;<strong>Analysis Export<\/strong>&nbsp;dialog.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Specify the&nbsp;<strong>Format<\/strong>&nbsp;as&nbsp;<strong>SNAP Xml Format<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>(SnIF Xml)<\/strong>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Set the&nbsp;<strong>Destination<\/strong>&nbsp;as&nbsp;<strong>Clipboard<\/strong>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   By default, this will export all analyses in the survey. They will be added to the survey with all the original details.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n   If there are already analyses with the same name in the survey, an error message appears. Click <strong>Done<\/strong> then each analysis is&nbsp;displayed so that the name can be changed and the item saved.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exporting an analysis to use in an external application<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>   Analyses can be exported from Snap XMP Desktop by <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\n    Using the clipboard \n  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n    By exporting to a file \n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  You can then import them into a report; either as a picture in a word-processing package, or into a slide show generated in a presentation package. Tables and lists can also be exported in text format into a spreadsheet package, for you to carry out further calculations.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Using the Clipboard to paste an analysis as a picture <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>   Click <strong>Analyses<\/strong>\u00a0   <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-6015\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/analysesicon-png-4.png\" alt=\"AnalysesIcon.png\">   \u00a0on the Snap XMP Desktop toolbar. This opens the\u00a0<strong>Analyses\u00a0<\/strong>window. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Open the analysis in the Analysis Display window.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Click Copy&nbsp;\n  <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"27\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/copyicon-png.png\" class=\"wp-image-6016\" alt=\"CopyIcon.png\">\n  &nbsp;to place a copy of the analysis on the clipboard.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Switch to the word-processing or presentation package and choose the menu option&nbsp;<strong>Edit | Paste Special<\/strong>. This will depend on the requirements of the package that the analysis is destined for.&nbsp;<strong>Comma separated<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Tab separated<\/strong>&nbsp;are only suitable for table and list export.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Comma separated (CSV)<\/strong>&nbsp;each case comprises a series of fields, each separated by a comma. Fields corresponding to literal, date and time variables are surrounded by quote characters.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tab separated (TSV)<\/strong>&nbsp;comprises a series of fields each separated by a tab.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Windows Bitmap (BMP)<\/strong>&nbsp;gives a pixel-based graphic.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enhanced Metafile (EMF)<\/strong>&nbsp;gives a vector-based graphic.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Web format (HTML) <\/strong>gives an HTML export   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Excel (CSV) <\/strong>each case comprises a series of fields, each separated by a comma for use in a spreadsheet.   <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>Export&nbsp;<\/strong>option is only available when CSV and TSV formats are selected. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   Leave the Encoding as Automatic unless you know that the software you are importing to requires a different format (If there are problems, try UTF-8 or ANSI format.) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   Specify the&nbsp;<strong>Destination<\/strong>&nbsp;by typing in a path and file name or click on&nbsp;<strong>Browse<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   Click&nbsp;<strong>OK<\/strong> to export the analysis.
