Snap\u00a0Interchange Format<\/strong>\u00a0(SnIF<\/strong>) is a format used to transfer reports between surveys in Snap XMP Desktop. For example, if you have several surveys that all use the same reports, you can create them in one survey, exported into a\u00a0SnIF<\/strong>\u00a0format file and then imported into the other surveys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following example shows exporting reports from a survey to a file. You can also export the reports via the clipboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Click Reports<\/strong>\u00a0 \"ReportsIcon.png\" \u00a0on the Snap XMP Desktop toolbar. This opens the\u00a0Reports\u00a0<\/strong>window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select the menu option File | Export<\/strong> to display the Report Export<\/strong> dialog.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Specify the Format<\/strong> as SNAP Interchange Format<\/strong> (SnIF).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Set the Destination<\/strong> as File<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. In Content<\/strong>, specify the names of the reports you wish to export, for example, RP1<\/strong>, or leave the field blank to export all reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Click OK<\/strong> to export the selected report(s).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. A confirmation message displays when the export is complete. Click Done<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Select File | Close Survey<\/strong> to close the current survey. Open the survey that you plan to add the reports to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Click Reports<\/strong>\u00a0 \"ReportsIcon.png\" \u00a0on the Snap XMP Desktop toolbar. This opens the\u00a0Reports\u00a0<\/strong>window in the new survey.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. Select File | Import<\/strong> to display the Report Import<\/strong> dialog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    9. Set the Source<\/strong> to File <\/strong>and enter the file name of the export. Click OK <\/strong>to import the report(s).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
