Questionnaires can be exported from Snap XMP Desktop in the following ways <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n Using the clipboard \n <\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Exporting to a file\n <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
\n These can be used to export the questionnaire into a report; either as a picture in a word-processing package, or into a slide show generated in a presentation package.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Exporting a questionnaire to a word processing package<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Snap XMP Desktop can be used to export the questionnaire in\u00a0Rich Text Format<\/strong>. This can be imported into a word processing package for any necessary editing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
\n Select the menu option File | Export<\/strong>. This opens the Questionnaire Export<\/strong> dialog.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Specify the Format<\/strong> as Rich Text Format (.RTF).\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n
\n Specify the Destination<\/strong> as File<\/strong>. Specify a file name with the .rtf extension if you wish to export to the Snap folder. You can choose other file names and select different locations by clicking [Browse]<\/strong>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Click OK<\/strong> to export the questionnaire to the specified file.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Switch to the word processing software.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Select File | Open<\/strong> and open the rtf file you have just created.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n The questionnaire is held in Rich Text Format<\/strong>, allowing you to change the text, styles and layout in the word processing package.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Exporting the questionnaire as a picture<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n You may wish to include an image of the questionnaire as part of your reports. To do this you will need to export the questionnaire as a picture (.emf file).\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
\n Select the menu option File | Export<\/strong>. This opens the Questionnaire Export dialog\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Specify the Format<\/strong> as Enhanced Metafile <\/strong>(.EMF).\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n
\n The Destination<\/strong> is fixed as File. Either use Browse <\/strong>to specify the file name and path or type the details into the field.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Click OK<\/strong> to export the questionnaire to the specified file.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n If your questionnaire has more than one page, a separate file is created for each page, automatically inserting a number at the end of the file name you have selected.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The images can be inserted in the Snap XMP Desktop report using the Insert button and selecting Image. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Moving a questionnaire to another Snap survey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n If you wish to transfer your questionnaire contents and layout from an existing Snap survey into a new survey, then you need to export the questionnaire using the SnIF<\/strong> option.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
\n Select the menu option File | Export<\/strong>. This opens the Questionnaire Export<\/strong> dialog.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Specify the Format<\/strong> as SNAP Interchange Format (SnIF).\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Specify the Destination<\/strong> as Clipboard or File. Specify a file name with the .sif extension if you wish to export to the Snap folder. Alternative file names can be entered and locations can be selected using Browse<\/strong>.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n
\n The Include source variables<\/strong> option allows you to export dependants of the questionnaire (e.g. derived variables).\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Click OK <\/strong>to export the questionnaire to the specified file or the clipboard.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Close the original survey.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n In the Survey Overview window, select the import survey. \n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Select the menu option File | Import<\/strong>. This opens the Questionnaire Import<\/strong> dialog. \n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
\n Specify the Format<\/strong> as SNAP Interchange Format (SnIF). If the destination previously specified was Clipboard then select it again. If File was chosen originally, then click on Browse<\/strong> to locate the file.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n
\n Click OK<\/strong> to import the questionnaire into the new survey. Click Save \n \n to save the questionnaire.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
