The <strong>Acquire<\/strong> window opens. Click <strong>OK.<\/strong> <\/li><li>   Select <strong>Scan<\/strong> and <strong>Detect<\/strong> to scan and detect the values on the questionnaire. <\/li><li>   Select <strong>Print Batch Header<\/strong> to print a report of the scanned questionnaires from the current batch. The report lists date and time, together with the name of the survey, and the case numbers allocated within the survey. Attaching the <strong>Batch Report<\/strong> to each batch of questionnaires that have been scanned can help if there is a need to examine the questionnaires at a later date. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"248\" height=\"66\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/acquirescandetect-png.png\" alt=\"Scan and detect the values on the scanning responses\" class=\"wp-image-3736\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\"><li>\n  In <strong>Source<\/strong>, select <strong>Scanner<\/strong>, if you are scanning the questionnaires, or <strong>Image File<\/strong>, if you are loading image files containing the scanned questionnaires.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"248\" height=\"68\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/acquireallscanner-png.png\" alt=\"Set the scanning source to a scanner\" class=\"wp-image-3737\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Using Scanner<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\"><li>\n  If you are scanning the questionnaires, place your completed questionnaires in the scanner and click <strong>OK<\/strong>.\n<\/li><li>\n  The questionnaires are scanned and once completed a message is displayed, showing the number of sheets read and cases detected. Click <strong>OK<\/strong>.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Using Image Files<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"8\"><li>\n  If you are using image files that have previously been scanned and are stored on an accessible drive, browse to the folder where your PDF\/TIFF files are stored. Scanning the questionnaires becomes faster as the detection process is run later, at a convenient time, to process images, detect the questionnaire responses, and create the Snap .rdf data files.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scanning without detecting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\n  Click\n  <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"25\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-3739\" alt=\"NewSurveyIcon.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/newsurveyicon-png-1.png\">\n  .
