Publishing puts the questionnaire into a form that can be distributed to your participants, either by creating a link to complete online or by printing a paper copy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can publish the questionnaire in both Snap XMP Desktop and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/publishing-and-collecting-survey-data\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Snap XMP Online<\/a>. This page covers publishing from Snap XMP Desktop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Previewing the online questionnaire<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before publishing, you can check that the questionnaire is working in the way you want, before making it available to participants. This is done using the <strong>Preview only<\/strong> option, which opens the questionnaire in a browser and you can check how it looks and behaves, without saving the test responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> In the Questionnaire window, click the <strong>Publish <\/strong>icon <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-6164\" style=\"width: 26px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/publishicon-png.png\" alt=\"PublishIcon.png\">. This allows you to enter some test replies and try out the routing instructions. The test replies are not saved. If you need to make any changes, return to the questionnaire, make the changes and repeat the testing process. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Publish the online questionnaire<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your questionnaire is now ready for publication, a process that creates a version of the questionnaire that is accessible on a web browser.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> In the Questionnaire window, click the <strong>Publish <\/strong>icon <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-6164\" style=\"width: 26px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/publishicon-png.png\" alt=\"PublishIcon.png\">. This opens the Publish Questionnaire dialog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <strong>Method<\/strong>, select <strong>Publish without preview<\/strong>.
