\n This example describes how to produce a cover page consisting of\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n a header graphic\n <\/li>
\n a title\n <\/li>
\n a picture\n <\/li>
\n a description of the report\n <\/li>
\n a footer graphic\n <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
\n It assumes that you have the three graphics at the correct size for your report.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\n Click \n \n on the Snap toolbar to open the reports window.\n<\/li>
\n Click \n \n to create a new report. You will just use this report to create a cover. You can then include it in other reports.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\n Set the name to Cover <\/strong>and clear the Display <\/strong>and Label <\/strong>boxes.\n<\/li>
\n Click \n \n to add a new Page Layout<\/strong> instruction.\n<\/li>
\n Check the Start New Page <\/strong>box. This will automatically start a new page. It is unlikely that you will have a page number on the title page so you can leave the Restart Page Numbers<\/strong> box clear. (You may need another Page Layout <\/strong>instruction before the report content starting a new page and setting the Restart Page Numbers <\/strong>from 1<\/strong>).\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\n Click the Page Setup<\/strong> tab.\n<\/li>
\n Check the Modify Orientation<\/strong> box and make sure that Portrait <\/strong>is selected. (This ensures that the cover page will always be in portrait orientation).\n<\/li>
\n Check the Modify Headers, footers and thumb text<\/strong> box. \n<\/li>
\n Click the Header\/Footer…<\/strong> button to open the header footer dialog.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\n Clear all the default values of the headers and footers and click OK<\/strong>.\n<\/li>
\n Click OK<\/strong> to close the Page Layout<\/strong> dialog.\n<\/li>
\n Click \n \n to add a new Information<\/strong> instruction.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\n Enter the top banner graphic for your cover page using the Insert<\/strong> button and click OK<\/strong>.\n<\/li>
\n Click \n \n to add another Information<\/strong> instruction and enter the title then click OK<\/strong>.\n<\/li>
\n Add another Information<\/strong> instruction and enter the logo using the Insert<\/strong> button then click OK<\/strong>.\n<\/li>
\n Add another Information<\/strong> instruction and enter any further text. \n<\/li>
\n To create the text seen above, enter “Report date<\/strong>:” then format the text. Click Insert <\/strong>and select Date\/Time<\/strong> field. Select Publication date<\/strong> from the list of available fields and click OK<\/strong>.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\n Then enter the text “Showing Results for:<\/strong>” and click Insert.<\/strong> Select Survey Field<\/strong> from the available options and select Filter <\/strong>as the field property. This shows any filter that has been applied to your report. Click OK<\/strong> to add the filter field then click OK<\/strong> to save your instruction.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\n Add another Information<\/strong> instruction and enter the lower banner graphic using the Insert<\/strong> button then click OK<\/strong>.\n<\/li>
\n Save your report. You can now execute this report at the beginning of any other report to create a standard title page.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
\n Remember to insert a Page Layout instruction at the top of the next part of your report that sets up a new page, new headers and a page number if required.\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
