\n When you have completed your report there are a number of options\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. \n Check that the instructions in the report complete successfully.\n<\/li>
  2. \n Preview the report to test that it appears the way you want.\n<\/li>
  3. \n Run the report to print or export the report results.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    \n All these actions are carried out in the Report Execution dialog.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Report Execution dialog<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    1. \n Click Reports<\/strong> \n \"ReportsIcon.png\"\n to display the Reports <\/strong>window showing a list of reports for the current survey.\n<\/li>
    2. \n Select the report you want to run and click Execute<\/strong> \n \"Run\n to open the Report execution<\/strong> dialog.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Printer <\/strong><\/p><\/td>

      \n Open the Print Setup dialog to specify your printer or to print to a file such as PDF. This is only available if printer is selected as the output.\n<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

      Print report item numbers<\/strong> <\/p><\/td>

      \n Check to add the instruction number in available space within your report. This is useful when testing complex reports.\n<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

      Type <\/strong><\/p><\/td>

      \n Specify the file type that you wish to use to export your report. The available file types are Comma Separated File (CSV), Enhanced Metafile (EMF), Excel (CSV), Tab Separated File (TSV), Web Format (HTML), and Windows Bitmap (BMP). This is only available if printer is selected as the output.\n<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

      \n If the field is left blank all instructions will be executed.\n<\/p><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

      \n You can also execute a range of instructions by selecting the instructions you wish to execute in the report, and then clicking the right button on the mouse to display the context menu. Select Execute Selection from the menu. The Report Execution<\/strong> dialog will be displayed with the selected instructions ready to execute.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Checking a report\t<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      \n In the Report Execution<\/strong> dialog, click Check<\/strong> to test the report instructions complete successfully. A message appears once the check has been run.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Previewing a report<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      1. \n In the Report Execution<\/strong> dialog, enter a range expression in Range of instructions<\/strong> to preview parts of the report or leave blank to preview the whole report.\n<\/li>
      2. \n In the Output To<\/strong> list, select Printer<\/strong>.\n<\/li>
      3. \n Click Preview<\/strong> to preview the report on-screen.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        <\/a>Running a report<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
        1. \n In the Report Execution<\/strong> dialog, enter a range expression in Range of instructions<\/strong> to preview parts of the report or leave blank to preview the whole report.\n<\/li>
        2. \n Set the Output<\/strong> details to print or export a report, depending on your requirements.\n<\/li>
        3. \n Click Check <\/strong>to test that the report instructions complete successfully. A message will appear once the check has been run.\n<\/li>
        4. \n Click Preview<\/strong> to show the report on-screen. Review the report to make sure everything is correct. (The Output must be set to Printer for this option to be available.)\n<\/li>
        5. \n Once you have reviewed the report, click OK<\/strong>. All the required analyses are created and the reports are sent to the printer or a file, as specified in Output.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          \n If you need to cancel a report after it has started, click Cancel <\/strong>while the report is running.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Exporting report results to a single report file<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
          1. \n In the Report Execution<\/strong> dialog, specify the range of instructions to be executed or leave blank to execute all instructions for the report.\n<\/li>
          2. \n Set the file Type <\/strong>according to the package that the reports will be used in.\n<\/li>
          3. \n Click OK<\/strong>. The Export file details<\/strong> dialog opens.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            1. \n Check the file numbering. By default, Snap starts each run at the next available number. Click OK <\/strong>to export the report data to a single CSV file.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              <\/a>Exporting report analyses to separate files for inserting into documents<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              \n An entire report of tables and charts can be output to separate files that can then be inserted into a presentation software program such as PowerPoint or word processing package such as Word. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              1. \n In the Report Execution<\/strong> dialog, specify the range of instructions to be executed or leave blank to execute all instructions for the report.\n<\/li>
              2. \n In the To: <\/strong>box select Export, then in the Type<\/strong> box select Enhanced Metafile (EMF).\n<\/li>
              3. \n Click Tailor<\/strong>.\n<\/li>
              4. \n In the Report Tailoring<\/strong> dialog, click File Details.<\/strong>\n<\/li>
              5. \n In the Export file details<\/strong> dialog set the File Name <\/strong>to one that includes \u201c??\u201d. For example use the filename \u201cCrocodile Rock Cafe??.emf\u201d to ensure that each table or chart produced is stored in a separate file, starting Crocodile Rock Cafe 01.emf, Crocodile Rock Cafe 02.emf, and so on continuing in the sequence. \n<\/li>
              6. \n Click OK<\/strong> to save the file settings, then click Keep<\/strong> to save the new tailoring settings.\n<\/li>
              7. \n Click Check <\/strong>to check the report. If there are no errors, a separately numbered file is created for each table or chart.\n<\/li>
              8. \n In the presentation software you want to use, such as PowerPoint or Word, insert the picture from the exported files. For example, select \u201cCrocodile Rock Cafe01.emf\u201d and import into your chosen software. \n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                <\/a>Printing report results <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                1. \n Click Reports<\/strong> \n \"ReportsIcon.png\"\n to display the Reports <\/strong>window showing a list of reports for the current survey.\n<\/li>
                2. \n Select the report you want to run and click Execute<\/strong> \n \"Run\n to open the Report execution<\/strong> dialog.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

The Printer Setup dialog depends on the currently installed printer. You can select a PDF printer driver which will create the report to a PDF file.\n<\/li>
                    2. \n Click Margins to change the distances between the edge of the page, the drawn border and the analyses.\n<\/li>
                    3. \n Click Header\/Footer<\/strong> to specify the contents of your headers and footers.\n<\/li>
                    4. \n Click OK<\/strong> to save your page settings and return to the Report Tailoring<\/strong> dialog.\n<\/li>
                    5. \n Click Keep <\/strong>to use these settings for all subsequent reports. Click Use <\/strong>to only use these settings for this report.\n<\/li>
