This means that you can then analyse the group of questions as a whole. For example, if you have a series of questions on aspects of personality, you could group all the questions associated with team working together, and use them as a single axis for tables or charts.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  Group variables may be used to create summary analyses of a number of variables which share a common code list such as might be found in a question grid.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  For example, you could create a horizontal stacked bar chart to show the results of respondents\u2019 opinion of five aspects of service offered. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  You can use Group variables to include a summary of all five variables in the same chart. All responses will be added together when calculating means, so variables with a larger number of responses will have a larger percentage.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\n  Click \n  <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-3028\" alt=\"AnalysisVariablesIcon.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/analysisvariablesicon-png-3.png\">\n   on the main toolbar to open the Analysis variables window.\n<\/li><li>\n  Click \n  <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"25\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-3029\" alt=\"NewSurveyIcon.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/newsurveyicon-png-23.png\">\n   and select <strong>New Group Variable<\/strong> from the drop-down list.
