{"id":2991,"date":"2020-10-21T12:38:55","date_gmt":"2020-10-21T11:38:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/?post_type=epkb_post_type_1&#038;p=2991"},"modified":"2022-01-17T16:04:47","modified_gmt":"2022-01-17T16:04:47","slug":"analysing-time-responses","status":"publish","type":"epkb_post_type_1","link":"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/analysing-time-responses\/","title":{"rendered":"Analysing time responses"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\n  Time<strong> <\/strong>questions enable respondents to give a specific time either in 12 or 24 hour clock and Time<strong> <\/strong>variables can be analysed in a number of ways as follows: \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\n    Times can be categorised as falling into particular periods in the day, such as &#8216;rush hour&#8217;; &#8216;mid-morning peak&#8217; or &#8216;lunchtime&#8217;.\n  <\/li><li>\n    The difference between two times (for example between a time of arrival and a time of departure) can be calculated and the totals grouped into appropriate ranges, such as &#8217;15 minutes waiting time&#8217;; &#8217;30 minutes waiting time&#8217; and &#8216;1 hour waiting time&#8217;.\n  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Time formats<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A wide range of ways of entering time data is supported. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\n    When time data is entered, use a consistent time format. If you use the twelve hour clock remember to add the am or pm suffix otherwise all times will be read as am.\n  <\/li><li>\n    Any calculations of time between two periods that fall either side of midnight (e.g. 11.58 pm to 3.30 am) produces a positive number in calculations such as &#8216;Duration of time&#8217; from time of departure minus time of arrival. \n  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><p>   <strong>Time Format examples <\/strong><\/p><\/td><td><p>   <strong>Time Format varieties<\/strong> <\/p><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><p>\n  23:59:59\n<\/p><\/td><td><p>\n  24 hour clock with hours, minutes and seconds.
