The chart style template defines how the analysis data is displayed. There are a number of chart and table styles that are supplied with Snap XMP Desktop. You can adapt these to your requirements using the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/using-chart-designer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chart Designer<\/a><\/strong> or create new ones using the <strong><a data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/using-chart-wizard\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/using-chart-wizard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chart Wizard<\/a>.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  The chart style is made up of three components:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>     <strong>Layout <\/strong>defines how the chart is displayed; type of chart, axes and visibility   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>     <strong>Background <\/strong>defines the color or images used for the chart background   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>     <strong>Series <\/strong>defines the colors used for the different chart elements, such as bars, lines and segments.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  Once you have created a chart style, you can save it, and reapply it to other analyses. You can save the style components separately or together.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>   <strong>Note:<\/strong> The number of series colors in your chart style will depend on the chart you have created it from. If you save a style from a chart with four bars (and four separate colors used to identify them) then apply it to a chart with seven pie slices, the colors will repeat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selecting a chart style<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>   An easy way to select a style of chart analysis is to use the <strong>Select Analysis Style<\/strong> dialog. This displays examples of each chart style as a thumbnail image, helping you choose the style you want. The selected chart is highlighted when the dialog is opened. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>   On the Snap XMP Desktop toolbar, click <strong>Analysis Chart<\/strong>    <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-2580\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/analysischarticon-png.png\" alt=\"AnalysisChartIcon.png\">   to open the chart analysis definition. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   In the <strong>Analysis Definition<\/strong> dialog, click <strong>Select<\/strong>. Color only chart styles start &#8220;Color &#8211; &#8221; following by a description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the chart style name contains the word:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Counts <\/strong>then select Counts in the Show Options section<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Percents <\/strong>then select one of the percent options in the Show Options section<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transposed <\/strong>then select Transpose otherwise clear Transpose<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, for the chart style  <strong>Horizontal Bar Percent Transposed<\/strong>, select the one of the percent options, such as Analysis Percents, and select Transpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"504\" height=\"211\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ChartAnalysis1a.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6678\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ChartAnalysis1a.png 504w, https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ChartAnalysis1a-300x126.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 504px) 100vw, 504px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-2578-_Toc35499169\"><\/a>Saving a chart style<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>   Make the changes you want to your chart. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   Press <strong>F2<\/strong> or right-click your modified chart and select <strong>Save Style<\/strong> from the context menu. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   The <strong>Save Style<\/strong> dialog appears.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   Enter a name for your new style. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   In <strong>Style parts<\/strong>, Select or clear the <strong>Layout<\/strong>, <strong>Background<\/strong> and <strong>Series<\/strong> check boxes to include the parts of the chart style you want to use. For example, clear <strong>Layout <\/strong>and select <strong>Background<\/strong> and <strong>Series <\/strong>to save the chart colors and background only and exclude the chart type. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"459\" height=\"88\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/savestyleasdlg2-png.png\" alt=\"Saving a chart style template\" class=\"wp-image-2581\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\">\n<li>\n  Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to save your style.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>   By default the chart style is saved in the Snap XMP Desktop <strong>Styles <\/strong>folder. If you wish to save to a different location, browse to the required folder then save your file. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  Note: If you leave the layout box checked your saved style will have all the chart information, not just the background and colors, and you will overwrite the chart types if you load it to a different chart.\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A chart consists of The chart is defined in the Analysis Definition dialog where the chart style is selected.
