Further styles are also available such as <strong>Gantt<\/strong>, <strong>Bubble<\/strong> and <strong>Hi-Lo.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-2560-_Toc35499115\"><\/a>Area charts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  Area Charts are most often used to emphasise the relative importance of values over a period of time. An area chart focuses on the magnitude of change rather than the rate of change. Each filled area on the chart represents a series and is identified by a different color or pattern.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"363\" height=\"282\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/areacharteg-png.png\" alt=\"Example of an area chart\" class=\"wp-image-2561\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-2560-_Toc35499116\"><\/a>Bar charts <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  Bar charts are used to compare one item with another, or to compare multiple items over time. Each bar represents a cell value. This is the chart equivalent of a frequency table.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"357\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/https-www-snapsurveys-com-help-2d_bar_freq-png.png\" alt=\"Example of a bar chart\" class=\"wp-image-2562\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clustered Bar Charts<\/strong> are similar to the more conventional vertical bar charts. They are the equivalent of a cross-tabulation.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"357\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/https-www-snapsurveys-com-help-chart_clbar_freq_.png\" alt=\"Example of a clustered bar chart\" class=\"wp-image-2563\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Horizontal Bar Charts<\/strong> are similar to standard vertical bar charts, except that the categories are organised on a vertical axis and the values are plotted on a horizontal (y) axis.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stacked Bar Charts<\/strong> are used to show how the main category is divided into smaller categories. This can be shown as number or percentage of the total amount. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-2560-_Toc35499117\"><\/a>Pie charts <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  Pie charts show the relationship of parts to the whole. If multiple pies are displayed, then each pie represents a category, and each slice represents a value in that category. The example shows a pie for each age category, with segments for frequency of visit. Pie chart values for each segment are usually displayed as percentages.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"357\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/https-www-snapsurveys-com-help-pie_freqq_age-png.png\" alt=\"Example of a pie chart\" class=\"wp-image-2564\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Doughnut Charts<\/strong> are provided and their use is similar to pie charts.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-2560-_Toc35499118\"><\/a>Line charts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  Line charts are best used to show changes over time. They display distinct points along the value (y) axis, with vertical lines showing the difference between each point.
