They are an easy method of analysing single questions in tabular form. The analysis table produces results by specifying the name of the question or questions. The data can be calculated as counts or percentages. The results can be filtered to look at subsets of data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-2389-_Toc35499137\"><\/a>Creating a frequency table from a single variable<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The example below uses &#8216;Q4: Which of the following items did you order?&#8217; in the Crocodile Rock Cafe survey supplied with Snap XMP Desktop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-2390\" alt=\"AnalysisTblIcon.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/analysistblicon-png.png\"> to display <strong>the Analysis Definition<\/strong> dialog box. Type Q4 in the <strong>Analysis<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to create a frequency table that shows counts only.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"491\" height=\"406\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/freqtblsingle1-png.png\" alt=\"Analysis Definition for a frequency table with a single analysis variable\" class=\"wp-image-2391\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\n<li>Check <strong>Base Percents<\/strong> to express all answers as a percentage of the total number of respondents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Analysis Base<\/strong> in the <strong>Order By<\/strong> drop-down list, so that the most frequently answered reply will be at the top of the table.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>Cells <\/strong>tab and check <strong>Suppress zeroes <\/strong>to hide any answers where the response count has been zero. This builds the frequency table.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"361\" height=\"469\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/freqtblsingle3-png.png\" alt=\"Frequency table showing items ordered\" class=\"wp-image-2393\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"7\">\n<li>Notice that the calculated percentages add up to a number greater than 100 because this question has a Multiple Response, so there are more responses than there are respondents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To calculate the percentages to add up to 100, click <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-2394\" alt=\"VariablePropsIcon.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/variablepropsicon-png.png\"> and select the <strong>Base\/Labels<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change the Base field from <strong>Respondents<\/strong> to <strong>Responses<\/strong>.
