This article describes how to share a folder that you own with another Snap XMP Online user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

User permissions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Permissions<\/strong> <\/td> Description<\/strong> <\/td><\/tr>
Analyst<\/strong> <\/td> This permission gives access the Analyze<\/strong> section of a survey, including using pre-defined filters and contexts. <\/td><\/tr>
Analyst plus data download<\/strong> <\/td>This gives the same permission as Analyst<\/strong> with the addition of the ability to download the survey data, and create a custom filter and custom context.<\/td><\/tr>
Intermediate researcher<\/strong><\/td>This gives a reduced researcher access. The user has full access to the Build and Analyze sections, but reduced access to the Collect section. The user can publish the survey before interviewing starts but does not have permission to start or stop interviewing for the survey. An intermediate researcher can publish and update a live survey using Snap XMP Desktop.<\/td><\/tr>
Interviewer<\/strong> <\/td> This permission allows access to use the survey as an interviewer, but does not give access to the Build<\/strong>, Collect<\/strong> or Analyze<\/strong> sections. <\/td><\/tr>
Researcher<\/strong> <\/td> This gives full access to all sections of the survey: Build<\/strong>, Collect<\/strong> and Analyze<\/strong>. <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

How to share a folder<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Log in to Snap XMP Online and the first page shows Your work. If you are already logged into Snap XMP Online, click Home <\/strong>to return to Your work<\/strong>. This shows the Summary tab, by default.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select the folder you want to share. This may be a sub folder, which is a folder located in another folder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Select the Shares<\/strong> tab. This lists the users who you have shared this folder with.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Click the Add user<\/strong> button to enter the details of the user you want to share this folder with. The user must have a Snap XMP Online account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. In the Add user<\/strong> dialog enter the user\u2019s email address that they use to access their Snap XMP Online account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Next set the Permissions<\/strong> for the user.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Set Enabled<\/strong> to Yes for the user to have access to the shared item.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Set Manage shares<\/strong> to No if you do not want the user to share the folder with other account holders. Set Manage shares<\/strong> to Yes if you want the user to be able to share the folder with other Snap XMP Online account users.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. When you have entered the user details, click Save to add the user. The user has access to the shared folder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. The Shares list for the folder includes the new user.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. The folders, surveys and survey templates in the folder have new icons showing that they are shared. The icon \"SharedFolder.png\" indicates that the folder is shared. The icon \"SharedSurvey.png\" indicates that the surveys or survey template is shared.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. In the Shares<\/strong> tab, the Permissions<\/strong> column shows you where the share was set. As the following example shows, the survey inherits sharing permissions from Conference surveys.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
