This downloads the setup file from your web browser.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternatively, enter the URL &#8220;https:\/\/download.snapsurveys.com\/soi\/windows\/latest\/setup.exe&#8221; in your web browser.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run the setup.exe file to install the <strong>Interviewer<\/strong> app on your Microsoft Windows device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logging into Interviewer for the first time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have downloaded the <strong>Interviewer<\/strong> app to your device you can log in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When you log in for the first time you will need\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The email address that you want to use to access your <strong>Snap XMP Online<\/strong> account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your <strong>Snap XMP Online<\/strong> password<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your organisation has a server that you will use instead of the <strong>Snap XMP Online<\/strong> server then you also need your organisation\u2019s <strong>Server URL<\/strong> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start the <strong>Interviewer<\/strong> app and the sample surveys page displays. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On this page click the menu icon with 3 bars <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"23\" class=\"wp-image-2167\" style=\"width: 26px;\" alt=\"phone app menu.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/phone-app-menu-jpg-2.jpeg\"> in the top left hand corner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Log In<\/strong>. You will see a message that you have not set up the Snap XMP Online server. You now need to select the <strong>Snap XMP Online<\/strong> server that you want to use. Click <strong>OK<\/strong> on the message.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"299\" height=\"140\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/setup-server-msg-jpg-2.jpeg\" alt=\"setup server msg.jpg\" class=\"wp-image-2168\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\">\n<li>Click <strong>Set URL<\/strong><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"27\" height=\"27\" class=\"wp-image-6829\" style=\"width: 27px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/SetURLIcon.png\" alt=\"Set Server URL icon\"> at the top right hand corner. If you are using the <strong>Snap XMP Online<\/strong> servers the list of available servers shows\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UK Datacentre has data stored in the UK<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>US Datacentre has data stored in the US <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"271\" height=\"298\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/seturl-jpg-2.jpeg\" alt=\"SetURL.jpg\" class=\"wp-image-2169\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\">\n<li>Select the available server you want to use. Your selection is shown as the <strong>Selected Server<\/strong>. Click<strong> OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your organisation may have set up a server or servers. In this case, click <strong>Own servers<\/strong> and enter the server URL you have been given by your organisation. Click <strong>OK.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your <strong>Snap XMP Online<\/strong> email address and password in the <strong>Log In<\/strong> screen.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To see the password you are entering, click the <strong>Show\/hide password<\/strong> icon <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"35\" height=\"24\" class=\"wp-image-2170\" alt=\"show_hide_Pass_icon\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/show_hide_pass_icon-2.png\"><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To save the user details you are entering, turn on <strong>Keep me logged in<\/strong> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"412\" height=\"348\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/login-page-png-2.png\" alt=\"Login page.png\" class=\"wp-image-2171\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/login-page-png-2.png 412w, https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/login-page-png-2-300x253.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 412px) 100vw, 412px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"9\">\n<li>When you have finished entering your details, click the <strong>Log in <\/strong>button. The <strong>Interviewer<\/strong> app will connect to <strong>Snap XMP Online<\/strong> and download your surveys.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-2166-_Toc34293941\"><\/a>Opening a survey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Once you have logged in you will see a list of surveys or forms that are available to complete. If there are no surveys or forms shown press <strong>Sync<\/strong> in the top right hand corner. After the surveys download, you will see a Surveys Downloaded message above the surveys.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the survey or form and it opens on screen. The app may request permission to use your location if the survey requires geo-location to work. It may also ask permission to allow access only whilst using the app, it is advisable to allow this. If this message appears again on your screen you need to change your phone settings to allow the app to use your location.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>You are now at the start of the survey or form. Follow the onscreen instructions on how to complete it. Every time you press the submit button the response data entered will be sent to the main user of the software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Starting Interviewer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Start the <strong>Interviewer<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have previously logged in, selected <strong>Keep me logged in<\/strong> and have not logged out then the app will open directly to your list of surveys, otherwise the app will display the <strong>Log In<\/strong> screen and you can log in.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have an internet connection, <strong>Interviewer<\/strong> automatically checks to see if you have the latest versions of the available surveys<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open a survey by selecting it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To manually synchronise all surveys and responses with the server, click <strong>Sync<\/strong>. <strong>Interviewer<\/strong> will attempt to synchronise at ten minute intervals if Auto-synchronisation is enabled.
