They can be organised in folders that are shown in both applications. The online surveys are kept up to date and the response data synchronized between the two applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Offline surveys<\/strong>\u00a0are surveys that are available in Snap XMP Desktop only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both types of survey are listed in the Survey Overview window and can be opened using the following instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>   Click <strong>Survey Overview<\/strong>    <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-4592\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/surveyoverviewicon-png-6.png\" alt=\"SurveyOverviewIcon.png\">    on the Snap XMP Desktop toolbar. This opens the Survey Overview window. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   Select <strong>Online surveys<\/strong>    <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/5-onlinesurveysicon-png-3.png\" class=\"wp-image-4593\" alt=\"5.OnlineSurveysIcon.png\">    or <strong>Offline surveys<\/strong>    <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/6-offlinesurveysicon-png-3.png\" class=\"wp-image-4594\" alt=\"6.OfflineSurveysIcon.png\">    depending on the location of the survey template. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   For an online survey, click &gt; to expand the folder containing the survey, if required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>   For an offline survey, if the survey is not in the current folder click Browse to find the required folder then click Open.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the survey by double clicking on its name in the list. This shows the name, title and other notes for the survey. The survey name cannot be changed but the Title and comments can be edited, if required. The <strong>Survey Details<\/strong> dialog shows a summary of the survey. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"398\" height=\"409\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/surveydetailsdlg2-png-1.png\" alt=\"Survey Details dialog\" class=\"wp-image-1820\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/surveydetailsdlg2-png-1.png 398w, https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/surveydetailsdlg2-png-1-292x300.png 292w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"7\">\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong>. The <strong>Survey Overview <\/strong>window closes and, by default, the questionnaire opens in the <strong>Questionnaire<\/strong> window. This is indicated in the title bar. The survey can now be used.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-1814-_Toc33623730\"><\/a>Setting the default window when opening a survey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can customise the start up settings to choose which window is displayed when you open a survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To select a window to open when you start a new survey:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select<strong> Tailor | Advanced<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>General <\/strong>tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the<strong> Initial window to display<\/strong> drop-down list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the window you would like to display.
