They can be organised in folders that are shown in both applications. The online surveys are kept up to date and the response data synchronized between the two applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Offline surveys<\/strong>\u00a0are surveys that are available in Snap XMP Desktop only. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both types of survey are available in the Survey Overview window. The Survey Overview window shows the available surveys and survey templates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A survey is shown with <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"21\" height=\"24\" class=\"wp-image-1796\" style=\"width: 21px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/surveylisticon-png.png\" alt=\"SurveyListIcon.PNG\"> icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A survey template is shown with <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"22\" height=\"24\" class=\"wp-image-1795\" style=\"width: 22px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/templatelisticon-png.png\" alt=\"TemplateListIcon.png\"> icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both types of survey can be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/creating-a-new-survey\/?seq_no=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">created<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/cloning-a-survey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cloned <\/a>or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/deleting-a-survey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">deleted <\/a>in the Survey Overview window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online Surveys<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The online surveys are shown when Online Surveys <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\" class=\"wp-image-4656\" style=\"width: 25px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/onlinesurveysicon-png-3.png\" alt=\"OnlineSurveysIcon.png\"> is selected in the Survey Overview window. Click &gt; to expand a folder. This shows the details of the surveys and survey templates in the selected folder. New folders can be created by right clicking a folder then select the New Folder menu. The new folder is created as a sub-folder of the selected folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Double click an online survey to open the survey. Alternatively click a survey to select it then click Open survey on the Survey Overview toolbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Online folders, surveys and survey templates can be renamed. Right click the item then select the Rename menu. This allows you to edit the name. Press Enter to save the new name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Survey Overview toolbar has Download and Upload buttons to synchronise the folder, surveys and survey templates with Snap XMP Online. Each question in a questionnaire is also a variable. There may be extra variables to perform calculations on the data. <\/td><\/tr><tr><td> <strong>Cases<\/strong> <\/td><td> Each completed questionnaire is referred to as a case. The total number of cases for the survey, including deleted cases, is shown in the survey overview. <\/td><\/tr><tr><td> State<\/td><td>The state shows whether the survey has been published, interviewing has started or the survey is closed.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td> <strong>Status<\/strong> <\/td><td> Indicates if the survey needs to be updated from a previous version or if there is a problem with the survey. <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Offline Surveys<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The offline surveys are shown when Offline Surveys is selected in the Survey Overview window. You can change this by clicking <strong>Browse.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The display pane shows a list of all surveys and survey templates in the current folder, together with summary information for each one. Click on a column heading to have the list sorted by the contents of that column.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Double click an offline survey to open the survey. Alternatively click a survey to select it then click Open survey on the Survey Overview toolbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can back-up surveys using archive and restore.
