<\/a>Opening a SurveyPak<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Open the Reference<\/strong> window by clicking \"ReferenceIcon.png\" on the main toolbar or select File|Reference.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. It shows, when opening, either the default or the most recently selected SurveyPak <\/strong>or offline survey.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. You can see all the recently viewed SurveyPaks <\/strong>and\/or offline surveys in the currently selected directory from the drop down list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. To change directory, click Browse<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. The Open Reference<\/strong> dialog opens. Here you can choose a new directory, SurveyPak<\/strong> or survey. The Files of type<\/strong> field contains options to view SurveyPaks and Surveys<\/strong>, SurveyPaks<\/strong> or Surveys<\/strong>. Only offline surveys will be shown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Select the SurveyPak<\/strong> or survey and click Open<\/strong> to load into the Reference<\/strong> window.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    <\/a>Creating a new SurveyPak<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Select File|New…|SurveyPak<\/strong>. The New<\/strong> SurveyPak<\/strong> dialog appears.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. By default, the new SurveyPak<\/strong> will have a name based on your most recently opened SurveyPak<\/strong> and will be stored in the same directory. Click the Browse<\/strong> button to choose a new name and\/or directory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Select the default language for your survey.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Change the suggested name of the initial topic folder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. The Reference<\/strong> window will open and display your new SurveyPak<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        <\/a>Cloning a SurveyPak<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        You can copy an existing SurveyPak. You can then make changes to the new version while leaving the old one untouched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        1. Open the SurveyPak<\/strong> to copy in the Reference<\/strong> window and then select File|Save As…<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. The Browse window will open. By default, the new SurveyPak will have a name based on your most recently opened SurveyPak and will be stored in the same directory. Click the Browse…<\/strong> button to choose a new name and\/or directory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Click OK<\/strong>.The Reference window will open and display your new SurveyPak.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          <\/a>Adding a password<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          Once you have defined your questions, you may wish to prevent other people from editing them by using a password to protect the SurveyPak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. In the Reference <\/strong>window select the SurveyPak.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Click Toggle Edit Mode<\/strong> \"ToggleEditModeIcon.png\" to enable the editing toolbar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Click Set Password<\/strong> \"PadlockIcon.png\" on the edit toolbar. This opens the Set Password dialog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Select Protect SurveyPak with a password<\/strong> to enable the password fields. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. Enter the passwords and click OK. Once you have added a password, you can remove it by clearing the box and re-entering the password.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
