Inserting a variable field lets you change text in your dashboard. You can customize instructions and other text, based on survey variables or system settings, such as, interview date and time information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Position the cursor in the text at the location where you require the variable field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click\u00a0Insert variable field<\/strong>\u00a0from the toolbar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. The\u00a0Variable\u00a0<\/strong>list contains all the variables and system settings for the dashboard. Select the variable that you want to use.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. In\u00a0Aspect<\/strong>, select the type of text to insert. There are two aspects to choose from:\u00a0Label <\/strong>inserts the question response;\u00a0Name\u00a0<\/strong>inserts the question number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. In\u00a0Text Transformation<\/strong>, choose the case to display the text: UPPER CASE, lower case, Sentence case or Title Case.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click OK <\/strong>to save the changes to the dashboard. This displays the variable field inside brackets, for example, {Q2:Label}.
