You can change the background of the page, all the question elements or a single question element, to show a plain color or an image as the background.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changing the background color<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. In Snap XMP Desktop, open the survey in the Survey Overview<\/strong>. This opens the survey in the Questionnaire window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select\u00a0Background<\/strong>\u00a0in the topic drop-down.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. In the next drop-down, select the area to apply the background. To apply the background to the entire question, select\u00a0(All)<\/strong>. To apply the background to the all pages, select\u00a0(Page)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Click the\u00a0Colour<\/strong>\u00a0button, and select a color from the palette.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    <\/a>Adding a picture to the background<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Select\u00a0Background<\/strong>\u00a0in the topic drop-down.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. In the next drop-down, select the area to apply the background. To apply the background to the entire question, select\u00a0(All)<\/strong>. To apply the background to the all pages, select\u00a0(Page)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click the\u00a0Picture<\/strong>\u00a0button. This displays the\u00a0Picture\u00a0<\/strong>dialog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Select a picture from the file name drop-down or click\u00a0Browse<\/strong>\u00a0to browse for the picture file. The picture path name is shown in the drop-down. Click\u00a0Remove\u00a0<\/strong>to clear the picture.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. You can align the picture horizontally using the\u00a0Horizontal\u00a0<\/strong>drop-down, with Left, Centre and Right options. You can align the picture vertically using the\u00a0Vertical\u00a0<\/strong>drop-down, with Top, Centre, Bottom options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. The area assigned for the selected part of the question determines the size of the picture. For an online edition you can select\u00a0Tile\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0Fixed<\/strong>\u00a0to repeat or fix the image. For a paper edition you can select\u00a0Stretch\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0Fit\u00a0<\/strong>to resize the image or\u00a0Tile\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Zoom\u00a0<\/strong>to repeat or scale the image. This can be done both horizontally and vertically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. If available, you can colourize the GIF file by selecting a color from the drop-down.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Click\u00a0Zoom\u00a0<\/strong>and enter a percentage value to resize the image in the background.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
