If not, click the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"27\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-1301\" alt=\"RenumberIcon.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/renumbericon-png-2.png\"> button.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-1294-_Toc33623589\"><\/a>Moving a group of questions into a questionnaire<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>SurveyPaks can have defined groups of questions in them. These are identified as sections and questionnaires. Sections are marked by the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"23\" height=\"22\" class=\"wp-image-1302\" alt=\"SectionIcon.PNG\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/sectionicon-png-1.png\"> icon and questionnaires by the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"23\" height=\"22\" class=\"wp-image-1303\" alt=\"QuestionnaireRefIcon.PNG\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/questionnairereficon-png-1.png\"> icon. You can drag all the variables within a group into your survey by dragging the marker into your survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also use the <strong>Control<\/strong> + <strong>Shift<\/strong> keys to select multiple questions within a SurveyPak and drag them in simultaneously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The variables are dropped into your questionnaire in the same order that they appear in the topic or section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-1294-_Toc33623590\"><\/a>Putting in possible question responses using a code frame<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to add a set of multi-response answers to one of your questions, or change the answer labels that you already have, you can do so using a code frame. A code frame is a set of responses with their labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To add or overwrite responses to a question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Select the question you wish to change in the <strong>Questionnaire <\/strong>window.<\/li><li>Select the code frame you wish to use in the <strong>Reference <\/strong>window.<\/li><li>Drag the code frame over the selected question. When the cursor changes to <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"32\" height=\"25\" class=\"wp-image-1304\" alt=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/help\/replace.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/https-www-snapsurveys-com-help-replace-png-3.png\"> , drop it in place.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Below the image shows that the Rating scale selected in the Reference window has been dragged and dropped on Q8 to automatically insert the codes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" code frame over a grid first question, all the grid questions will be converted to the new responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-1294-_Toc33623591\"><\/a>Finding a question in a SurveyPak<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can look through the questions in a SurveyPak by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>opening topics and seeing what questions are listed<\/li><li>selecting a language and seeing the questions available in that language<\/li><li>using a filter to select questions containing a specified word or phrase<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-1294-_Toc33623592\"><\/a>Browsing SurveyPaks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The topics in the SurveyPak are displayed in a hierarchical tree structure in the top pane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To open a topic folder, double-click the folder or click on the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"19\" height=\"20\" class=\"wp-image-1306\" alt=\"OpenFolderIcon.PNG\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/openfoldericon-png-1.png\"> sign to the left of the folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"27\" height=\"26\" class=\"wp-image-1313\" alt=\"ReferenceIcon.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/referenceicon-png-3.png\"> or press <strong>Alt+F12<\/strong> and select the survey or SurveyPak containing the questions you are interested in.<\/li><li>Select the language of your choice in the drop-down list. If the language is not visible in the list, then it is not available in the stored survey or SurveyPak. If a specified language has not been added to the current open survey, its name will be greyed out in the language list. You can still select it and examine the questions.<\/li><li>Questions that are available in the chosen languages will be displayed.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If the current open survey is multi-language, and questions in the SurveyPak are not available in all the languages used in the survey, then those questions will be in grey. Questions available in all languages used in the survey are in black.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-1294-_Toc33623594\"><\/a>Using a filter to search for a question<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can apply a filter to a whole SurveyPak or survey, a topic within a SurveyPak or an existing filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Select the item that you wish to filter. There are two ways to add a filter<ul><li>Click the filter button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"24\" class=\"wp-image-1314\" alt=\"FilterIcon.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/filtericon-png-1.png\"> on the <strong>Reference<\/strong> window toolbar<\/li><li>Right click the area to be filtered and select <strong>Add Filter&#8230;<\/strong> from the context menu.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>This displays the New Text Filter dialog. Enter the word or phrase that you wish to search for in the Find field. You can use the wildcard character * to represent missing characters and the keywords AND, OR, NEAR, AFTER and BEFORE.<\/li><li>The filter and its contents are displayed in the <strong>Reference<\/strong> window.<\/li><li>To delete a filter you can right-click the filter in the Reference window and select <strong>Delete <\/strong>from the context menu or highlight the filter and press the <strong>Delete<\/strong> key.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Open the Reference window by clicking the button of the main program toolbar.
