They provide the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/inserting-notes-in-your-questionnaire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">title, instructions and notes<\/a> in your questionnaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Select a response<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Respondents can select one or more pre-defined answers. These types of questions are also known as closed or coded questions, as the respondent must select one or more question codes as their answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They can appear as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/showing-questions-as-a-drop-down\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">drop-downs<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/inserting-grid-questions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grids<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/using-a-map-control\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">interactive images<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/using-a-slider-control\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sliders <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/inserting-semantic-scale-questions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">semantic scales<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples can include<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/inserting-single-choice-questions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">single choice question<\/a> asking what age range the respondent is in<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/inserting-grid-questions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grid<\/a> of questions asking respondents to rate different aspects of a service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Open response<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Respondents can enter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/inserting-open-ended-questions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">responses in their own words<\/a>, often in a comment box. The data can be free format text, a quantity, date or time.
